!!!Osprey Releases Wabash, 1791: St. Clair’s defeat here!!!

We were excited when we discovered that John Winkler’s book Wabash, 1791, had been accepted for printing by Osprey Publishing, of Oxford England, the premier publisher of military and military warfare books.  But now the excitement grows as we just found out that Osprey will release the book HERE on November 5, three weeks before it is released nationally.  Fittingly the book will be released on the 220th anniversary and on the very ground of St. Clair’s Defeat!   What could be more appropriate and perfect? 

        A committee composed of author, John Winkler; Osprey representative, John Tintera; and museum representatives, is working on a succession of special activities for that November weekend, including: an inservice for history teachers; a private party with the author for patrons and other dignitaries; an RSVP actual battlefield walk with the author; and an author/speaker presentation that will be open to the public.

This is a very, very special time for the community of Fort Recovery!!
